Player of the game honor this week was earned by QB/OLB Griffin Hamstra. Hamstra, not just during the game, but all week practiced and led his team from the front working and preparing to play a tough, hard-nosed football game and he did just that. Hamstra ended the day 4 of 7 through the air for 50 yards and his first TD pass of the season, along with 3 carries for 8 tough yards one of which led to a successful two-point conversion! Defensively he added 5 total tackles, a sack, and a QB hurry setting the tone for the day, but all the numbers do not come close to describing the leadership this young man shows at such an early age; good things are in his future!
